Cape Coast, December 25, GNA – Rev. The Chief Inspector of the Cape Coast Circuit of the Methodist Church Ghana, Samuel Kweku Bassaw, has urged tolerance and love among Ghanaians to maintain peace after the 2024 elections.
He said the transition period requires citizens to be more loving and understanding of each other to ensure a peaceful process.
“Christ himself is the Prince of Peace and that is why we must be patient with each other and understand why people do what they do.
“Once we understand them in that direction and once the peace and love of God have filled our hearts, we will be able to live together as a family and as a country,” he said.
“We need peace after the elections and as we go through the transition process for a new government, we pray that the season will bring blessings and the peace of God to the nation of Ghana as we enter a new political year,” he added. .
The Very Reverend Bassaw delivered his Christmas message at the Wesley Methodist Cathedral in Cape Coast on Christmas Day.
He urged Christians to express the love of God by showing kindness and living in peace with their neighbors, and he implored them to celebrate the season in moderation.
“Our joy in this season must be in Christ and not according to the style of the world,” he emphasized.
