It is Mittwochabend, and the Räumen der Waldorfschule Kakenstorf is the sound of saxophone, querflöte, cello, clarinet and geige – mal leise, mal laut, mal mit Nachdruck, mal ganz sanft. In the room there is a whole orchestra present. If it is good that the music and music players of the city orchestras of Buchholz are the Nachwuchsorchester, the Early Birds will illuminate their entire winter concert in the Buchholz empire.
“The Winter Concert is always the highest music in our entire musical years,” says Sabrina Reimers-Kipping vom Vereinsvorstand. Am Sonntag, 19. Januar 2025, was performed 100 Musikerinnen und Musiker in der Empore Buchholz gemeinsam auf der Bühne stehen, darunter auch die There fell talents from the Early Birds.
Music for all generations
The Early Birds, put together for the coming years, are the Nachwuchsorchester of the Stadtorchesters Buchholz. The Ensemble of 50 music and music players of the Alters Group consists here of an orchestra, the classical wind instruments with a Streichern combination. One of the Early Birds games takes place in the city orchestra – of the Erfahrungen who make a profit on the Vereinsmitglieder. “Our orchestra is unique in the region,” says Sabrina Reimers-Kipping. The size of the ensembles and the musical quality regularly attract large audiences.
