Interstate gang of car thieves busted, two arrested

Nuh police have busted an inter-state gang of car thieves and arrested two of its members. Eleven stolen vehicles, a pistol and two cartridges were recovered from their possession. An FIR has been registered at Sadar Nuh police station.

The detainees have been identified as Sahrun and Adil, residents of Rithath village in Nuh district, according to police.

A Nuh police spokesperson said the CIA’s Nuh team received a tip-off in the early hours today that members of the gang were heading to Delhi in a mini truck to sell a stolen vehicle. Based on this information, a team led by Inspector Subhash Kumar conducted a raid and arrested the suspect.

Police have recovered 10 stolen motorcycles loaded into the mini truck along with a country-made pistol and cartridges.

“During interrogation, the suspects revealed that their gang had been involved in motorcycle thefts in Faridabad, Gurugram, Uttar Pradesh and Delhi for over seven years. A car theft case has already been registered against Sahrun in Faridabad and he is currently out on bail. Further interrogations are ongoing and raids are underway to arrest other gang members,” Nuh police spokesman said.
