Mount Juliet police investigate stolen license plates, find drugs and stolen meat

Mt. JULIET, Tenn. (WKRN) – Mount Juliet police used license plate reader technology (LPR) and found a woman in possession of methamphetamine and “over $110 worth of meat,” according to a social media report after.

Authorities said the LPR technology alerted them to a vehicle with a license plate allegedly stolen from Williamson County on December 23. Police said the perpetrator was “actively shoplifting” at a convenience store on S. Mt. Juliet Rd.

Upon further investigation, Mount Juliet officers discovered a 48-year-old Nashville woman who reportedly admitted to stealing meat from area stores on multiple dates.

“She stole over $110 worth of meat during her most recent visit and was found in possession of methamphetamine,” according to a social media post from the Mount Juliet Police Department. “She and her boyfriend are allegedly selling stolen meat for profit in Nashville.”

The post added that the woman is facing multiple charges, including multiple counts of shoplifting, possession of stolen property and possession of methamphetamine.
