Man Utd fans shouted out ‘nasty’ player after poor performance at Wolves – Man Utd

Manchester United fans have urged one of their players to stop ‘complaining’ after he performed poorly during the 2-0 Premier League defeat to Wolves on Boxing Day.

Seeing the loss Reuben Amorim‘s side to 14e place in the top flight, having failed to win a game in their last three games in all competitions.

Several players put in sub-par performances, with Bruno Fernandes was sent off shortly after half time.

Then, after 57 minutes, Matheus Cunha scored straight from a corner before Hwang Hee-chan added a second in second-half stoppage time to round off a dismal day at the office United.

Marcus Rashford was left out of the squad for the fourth game in a row, having previously been omitted for the 2-1 win against Manchester City, the 4-3 defeat away to Spurs and the embarrassing 3-0 defeat to Bournemouth at Old Trafford last Sunday.

After the match, during a conversation with Prime Videothe United boss responded cheekily when asked if Rashford had “shown something different”, to which he replied: “If he’s not there you can make a decision.”

With Rashford seemingly out of Amorim’s plans, this has helped Rasmus Hojlund secure a regular starting spot.

However, United fans were not happy with the Dane’s performance against Wolves. They pointed to one point during the first half when Hojlund appeared furious when Amad failed to complete a pass before the Ivorian was tackled.

Many supporters highlighted the striker’s mannerisms and actions towards his teammates during the defeat.

One of them said: “Although Mainoo’s death is not happening, this complaining from Hojlund, when he is perhaps our worst player week in week out, is becoming very annoying. You are not him.”

Another defended the United striker, she added: “He made some great runs in the first half but never got a good pass. Of course he’s furious.”

A third explained: “Everyone hates him but he never gets any chances in the box, the wingers always shoot instead – on the rare occasions he does he scores, otherwise he gets a ball passed on the center line without support and people Do you expect him to take on a whole team on his own and score?”

While a fourth commented: “Anyone who has played a competitive team sport at any stage of their life knows that things like this happen in the heat of the moment. It’s nothing.”

Naturally, Hojlund has shown signs of improvement this season, with seven goals and one assist in 21 appearances.
