INTERPOL places 14 Nigerians on wanted list for human trafficking, counterfeiting and others – The Whistler Newspaper

The International Criminal Police Organization (INTERPOL) has wanted fourteen Nigerians for crimes ranging from human trafficking, drug trafficking, theft, cheating and forgery.

INTERPOL made this known in a notice published on its website, alongside the identities and crimes of the suspects, and the different countries in which the crimes were allegedly committed.

One of the suspects, Felix Omoregie, is wanted by the Belgian authorities for allegedly leading a criminal organization that exploits minors for prostitution.

The statement read: “Family name: Omoregie, first name: Felix, gender: male, date of birth: 22/10/1977 (47 years old), nationality: Nigeria.

“Allegations published as provided by the requesting entity: sexual exploitation or exploitation of prostitution of minors over 16 years of age;

“Sexual exploitation or exploitation of prostitution of another/Leader of a criminal organization/Trafficking in human beings for the purpose of prostitution or other forms of sexual exploitation.”

Omoregie along with 13 others identified as Jessica Edosomwan, Uche Egbue, Jude Uzoma, Chinedu Ezeunara, Benedict Okoro, Ikechukwu Obidiozor and Alachi Stanle, Bouhari Salif, Timloh Nkem, Austine Costa, Okromi Festus, Akachi Vitus and Mary Eze are now wanted. .

According to the statement, Edosomwan is wanted by the French authorities for “multiple victims of human trafficking committed against several persons.

“Organized gang competition in an operation to conceal or convert the proceeds of crime.”

INTERPOL also noted that Egbue is wanted by authorities in Argentina for alleged drug trafficking, while Uzoma is wanted by the Brazilian government for alleged drug trafficking.

Another suspect, Ezeunara, is wanted by the Uruguayan government for alleged drug trafficking, and Okoro is wanted by the Nicaraguan government for alleged organized crime.

Others, such as Obidiozor, Vitus and Stanley, are wanted by the Angolan government for alleged ‘kidnapping, theft and illegal possession of firearms’.

Eze is wanted by Denmark for alleged “human trafficking,” Salif by China for alleged “drug smuggling,” and Nkem by Canada for alleged “sexual assault and failure to meet a condition of recognition.”

According to the published report, Costa is wanted by India for alleged “criminal conspiracy; are in possession of a document that you know is forged and that you intend to use as a genuine document; forgery of valuable security measures, wills, etc.; forgery for the purpose of deception” and Okromi is also wanted by India for “criminal conspiracy and deception.”

INTERPOL noted that the notices were intended to warn the public of possible threats and to seek assistance in locating a person.

“The individuals are wanted by the requesting Member State or the international tribunal. Member States apply their laws when deciding whether to arrest someone,” INTERPOL said.

The public was urged to report to local police if they have any information about the wanted persons.
