It’s just not New Year’s Eve without it Anderson Cooper And Andy Cohen on our screens. The dynamic duo has hosted CNN’s New Year’s Eve Live for the past seven years. Who would have thought that CNN would have one of the best New Year’s countdown shows? Andy and Anderson make a great couple, and that’s partly because they’re true friends. But even friends can get on each other’s nerves. And Anderson spilled the tea on what annoyed him about Andy.
Anderson Cooper says he’s worried about the “cleanup” the next morning after working with Andy Cohen on NYE
While Anderson may be annoyed at times, he has insane respect for it Andy’s work ethic. He said Andy makes it look easy, but he “paddles underwater very, very fast.” Anderson also noted that Andy created more content than most late night talk show hosts.
He said: “Every day when I turn on my phone, I see content that Andy Cohen is responsible for. Much more than any late-night host.” To be fair, most late-night hosts aren’t executive producers of multiple shows in a franchise either.
As for the New Year’s Eve collaboration, the pair started in 2017. The show switched gears, as Andy likes to say, and added the infamous tequila shots at the start of the hour. This loosens the hosts and can lead to a sorry comment or two. And this leaves Anderson wondering what Andy might say next.
It was Anderson’s turn Watch what’s happening live and spilled the tea on what he found “annoying” about working with Andy. A viewer called and said, “Hi Andy, I love the show, Julianne (Moore) loves the movies, Anderson loves… the news.” Whoever this man is, his comedic timing was impeccable.
He continued, “Anderson, what’s the most annoying thing about working with Andy on New Year’s Eve?” Anderson responded, “Just who he’s going to offend, and what the aisle three cleanup will be like tomorrow morning.” Andy nodded his head and said, “Honest, honest.”
The new year is just around the corner, so we’ll see soon enough what kind of chaos Andy Anderson will cause.
CNN’s New Year’s Eve Live with Anderson Cooper and Andy Cohen airs Tuesday, December 31 at 8/7c on CNN.
