A MAN has revealed how he earns £850 a day after transforming a Boeing 727 ‘once owned by Pablo Escobar’ into the ultimate Airbnb with a hot tub and sauna.
Johnny Palmer, founder of PYTCHpurchased the 57-year-old aircraft in mid-2020 after it had been scrapped, but the fuselage was retained.

Now, after we have one Airbnbthe entrepreneur earns a maximum of £850 per day when the property is rented out.
He said: ‘Some people say this is the most expensive accommodation Bristol.
‘It costs a maximum of €850. Christmas Day that’s damn expensive for four people.”
Johnny said as some stayed with the propertyOthers just use it for a party and go home at the end of the evening.

The decked out 727 comes with a sauna and hot tub, as well as room for four guests and a full kitchen.
Johnny added that the transformed aircraft is very popular with visitors and locals alike.
The businessman said: ‘It has a lot of support.
“People in the area like it because it makes quite an interesting industrial estate.”
The property is available to rent on Christmas Day and comes with a “little bit of Christmas decor” in addition to some Santa hats.
“People can have Christmas dinner on a billionaire’s private jet, 30 feet above the ground,” he said.
“With the cost of living crisis you may not be able to afford to get away, but you can stay on a private jet and enjoy your Christmas dinner in the air.”
The entrepreneur also addressed the aircraft’s long service history, including its rumored ownership Colombian drug lord Pablo Escobar.
First owned by Japan Airlines in passenger service from 1967 to 1975, the 727 was then converted into a VIP private plane.
Johnny said: “I’ve heard rumors that Pablo Escobar may have had it for a while.
“It’s all registered in the Cayman Islands, so you don’t know who you’re dealing with.
‘Someone said it was used as a dark escape to move someone prisoners sometime in the 80’s.”
The aircraft now also has an interactive light show, combined with the sound of the aircraft taking off, for guests to experience.
It made its last flight in 2012 to Filton Airfield in Bristol before being transported by road to Kemble Airfield.
In 2018 Johnny came to visit Kemble and was shown around the aircraft which he called “majestic”.
He purchased the aircraft in mid-2020 before transporting it to its final location in Brislington in February 2021.
