BJP stages protest in Guwahati against Rahul Gandhi over misconduct allegations

The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) held a protest rally in Guwahati on Saturday and condemned Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for misbehaving with Nagaland BJP MP Phangnon Konyak outside Parliament.

With Bhabesh Kalita at the helm, supported by Lok Sabha MP Bijuli Kalita Medhi, the rally is an example of the BJP’s stand against perceived intimidation, demanding an apology from Gandhi and suggesting his arrest.

Prime Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma is contrasting the ongoing unrest with a plea to limit political opposition to electoral ‘ballot box’ solutions rather than street demonstrations, amid escalating tensions between the parties.
