Haverford High leads the police during its annual basketball game

The Haverford Police Department hosted its third annual Community Building Basketball Game on Monday evening, with the department playing the combined boys and girls teams from Haverford High School.

The youths won, according to Sgt. Rob McCreight.

The game is part of a series of games between police and high school students aimed at building relationships, McCreight added. Police and the school will battle it out in baseball and hockey this spring, he added.

The annual fall football game ended in a 35-35 tie.
