Police looking for supermarket robber

LYNCHBURG, Va. (WDBJ) – Lynchburg police are looking for the person responsible for a mini-mart robbery Monday night.

Police responded to a call around 11:30 p.m. Nov. 18 in the 2000 block of 12th Street when an individual approached officers and reported an armed robbery at the Dash Food Mart.

Responding officers reviewed security footage from inside the Dash Food Mart, which police said confirmed an armed robbery, but due to the quality of the video, investigators were unable to obtain clear details about the robber’s appearance.

Witnesses describe the robber as a tall man, wearing all black clothing and a face mask.

Police say their emergency communications department did not receive a call regarding this incident.
