The president of Sri Lanka will swear in a new cabinet on Monday morning

ECONOMYNEXT – The newly elected members of Sri Lanka have been asked by Secretary General Kushani Rohanadeera to submit their details for registration.

An online portal has been made available on the front page of the parliament website.

Information desks will be open on November 19 and 20 to support new members.

In the current general election, a large number of new members were elected through the National People’s Power, which received a two-thirds majority.

The Secretary General of Parliament, Mrs. Kushani Rohanadeera, has announced that in connection with the first session of the first session of the Tenth Parliament, arrangements have been made for Members of Parliament to enter their details through Parliament’s website.

Accordingly, the Secretary General requests all Hon. Members can fill in the necessary information via the information link available on the homepage of Parliament’s website (www.parliament.lk). Alternatively, arrangements are also available to download, complete and submit the form via the link provided.

In addition, to facilitate the arrangements necessary for the first sitting of the first session of the Tenth Parliament, an information desk will be operational for Members of Parliament in the Parliamentary Complex on Tuesday, November 19 and Wednesday, November 20, 2024. from 9.30am to 3.30pm All Hon.

Members are encouraged to visit and take advantage of the above as obtaining the necessary documents and information, photographs for the member’s ID card and completing fingerprint registration for electronic voting will be facilitated. The Secretary-General requests the presence and participation of the hon. Members in this process.

The information desk is only accessible to Members of Parliament. Members are advised to arrive at Parliament on the dates indicated accompanied only by their drivers. To ensure a smooth entry process, Members are kindly requested to bring their National Identity Card, valid passport or driving license and use the designated Members’ Entrance to access the Parliamentary Complex.

A facility has been set up on the Parliament’s website to collect information from all Members of Parliament regarding the first meeting of the first session of the Tenth Parliament.

Honorable Members of Parliament are kindly requested to refer to the information link on the homepage of Parliament’s website (www.parliament.lk) and fill in the relevant information. As an alternative way of providing information, the form available for download via this link can also be completed and given to the secretariat.

In addition, an Information Desk for Members of Parliament will be operational in the Parliament Complex on Tuesday, November 19 and Wednesday, November 20, 2024 from 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM to facilitate arrangements for the first meeting of the Senate. Session of the Tenth Parliament.

All Honorable Members are kindly requested to attend as arrangements have been made to provide useful information and documents, take photographs for MPs’ identity cards and obtain fingerprints for electronic voting purposes.

When visiting the Information Desk, members may only accompany their drivers, as only Members of Parliament are allowed to participate at the Information Desk. Members are further requested to bring their national identity card, valid passport or driving license to facilitate access to Parliament and to use the Members’ Gate when entering the Parliament complex.
