Thierry Henry scored this great goal against Spurs 22 years ago today

Thierry Henry is Arsenal’s all-time top scorer and, in most eyes, their best ever player.

Of his 228 goals for the club across two spells, few compare to his superb solo effort in the North London Derby on this day in 2002.

Just thirteen minutes into the game at Highbury, the Frenchman picked up the ball just inside his own half and continued to run with it, past and through several Spurs players.

The goal showed everything Henry was about: elite dribbling, strength, power, pace, two-footedness and a world-class finisher.

Henry would seal the individual awards at the end of this season, and it’s no wonder when you see a strike like this.
