“I think this is something that a lot of couples deal with,” Taylor noted. “I know Love is blind trying to have people in the same city and avoid having problems regionally, because I think that happens for a lot of people Bachelor people – that they’re not in the same city and then you very quickly move on to this big relationship.

The quick transition, which left them with less than a month before deciding whether to get married, left Taylor and Garrett with more to figure out than most married couples, she explained. Ultimately, they decided to move to Washington DC, which was a compromise despite Taylor’s initial disappointment.

“I think I’m going from super single to Love is blind to the opposite, there’s kind of a whiplash to it,” she told Garrett, “I know I gave you my non-negotiables when I was going through it, and it really hurt when you were honest with me, but I would much rather that you had been honest with me than that, let’s say three years from now, you panicked and you kept this up and we never really got a chance to figure it out together.

“Because I don’t want to get super deep, but you can’t predict what happens with life,” she continued. ‘You just want to find a partner you can have fun with. After grieving it and talking it out with you and having a lot of difficult conversations and feelings, I think we got to the other side. And we are certainly still working on it.”
