PHOENIX (AZFamily) – A busy road in Phoenix remains closed Monday evening after a fatal crash involving a semi-truck and another vehicle.
Phoenix police responded to the crash on 51st Avenue near Interstate 10 around 10 p.m.
A family member of those involved in the crash confirmed to Arizona’s family that one person has died and another is in the hospital.
Police have not yet provided any details about the cause of this accident.
Police closed 51st Avenue from Roosevelt to McDowell, as well as the I-10 exit at 51st Avenue.
The accident caused street lights to go out in the area.
