Man attacked in Belfast by ‘large and uncooperative’ crowd armed with weapons – The Irish News

There has been a man attacked outside his house by an armed gang North Belfast.

The disturbance happened at a house on Crumlin Road at around 4.20pm on Wednesday.

Police said several men armed with weapons including iron bars had approached an address.

When the resident came outside, he was attacked by the group.

A PSNI spokesperson said: “Police responded to find a large, uncooperative crowd in the area.

“It was a 24-year-old man arrested on suspicion of fraud and is currently still in custody.”
