This Castlevania LP Boxset looks beautiful, but costs a pretty penny

Video game music record label Materia Collective has unveiled its latest vinyl box set, ‘Music from Castlevania – Black and Red‘ and it looks beautiful. There’s only one problem: it’s expensive!

The hefty price tag £433 / $549.99 will be like garlic to a vampire to many, and we can’t blame them. However, the collection is extensive enough if you… Real When you look at it, it starts to feel like good value.

‘Music from Castlevania – Black & Red’ covers Konami’s iconic monster hunting series from 1986 to 2010, featuring 46 LPs of remastered recordings, complete OSTs and newly arranged songs. These vinyl records are sorted into two outer boxes (appropriately ‘Black’ and ‘Red’), each decorated with beautiful artwork by Johnny Dombrowski – the jackets also contain 46 original works of art.

The collection also includes liner notes by author and Video works host Jeremy Parish, so you can stay up to date on how the soundtrack evolves with each series entry. It’s one educational purchaseto see?

With 974 songs providing over 30 hours of listening pleasure, a full tracklist here would be a bit of an exaggeration. However, below you can see the games in each LP:

As you would expect, this is a limited edition release with only 500 numbered copies available. The collection can now be pre-ordered at Materia store with an estimated ship date of Q1 2025.

It’s a pricey one, yes, but it seems fitting that it arrives in what has been quite a year for the franchise. The great one Castlevania Dominus Collection brought three DS classics to Switch earlier this year, and Vampire survivors has just ‘landed’ its excellentOde to Castlevania‘DLC. It’s a good year to be a Belmont fan.

Will you spend the money on this Castlevania LC collection? Let us know in the comments.
