Dragon Age The Veilguard In Memoriam Walkthrough
To start In Memoriam, go to Razikale Walk in Dock Town and you will find a body with a sword through it on the ground. We have marked the location for you on the map below:

Interact with the body to examine it and several demons will appear, one of them is Despondance and they are a bit stronger than the rest. Combat these and the spirit of compassion will appear through the body.

Talk to Compassion to find out that this is one of three demonic murders in Dock Town and, being helpful as you are, decide to investigate them and find out who the victims were.
Murder one – Bridge murder
To find out who the first murder victim is (since you already found their body), go up the small stairs behind where you met Compassion and follow the blood trail on the ground. This leads you up a flight of stairs on the left.

At the top of the stairs, follow the blood trail to the left and you will end up in a small building. When you enter the building, there is a book on the table to your left. Use this to find out that the first victim was a gardener.

Compassion will appear again and you’ve solved the Bridge Murder, leaving two more to sort out.
Murder two: Temple murder
Your first task for the second murder is to find the victim. To do this, exit the building you are in and follow the quest marker on your left. It takes you past a fast travel beacon and through a series of doors to the Temple of Andraste.
Go left here and then up the high stairs. If you encounter any Venatori here, deal with them or run past them (they aren’t really important at this point). Go past the courtyard into the Temple and follow the path to the right through the pillars.

Then follow the path to the left until it takes you to Andraste’s Watch. Once here, go to the wooden platform on your right. Here you will find the victim.

Interact with them and more demons will appear. This time Remorse is the strongest, but you can take them out the same way as before.
Once you defeat them, Compassion will appear on the victim. Talk to them and your next task will be to find out who they were. From the body, follow the blood trail down the stairs and to the right.

Keep following the path and it will take you to a workbench on a slightly higher ground near a Fen’Harel statue. Use the piece of paper on this desk to find out that the victim was a scholar named Marcus.

There is now one more murder to be solved.
Murder three: Market murder
To find the last murder victim, we used the fast travel beacon just to the left of the marked murder location on the map (it made getting there much faster):

From the beacon, turn left and follow the path here until you find some large doors. In front of the doors you will see more blood trails, follow them to the left where you will find the victim near the wall. As you get close, more demons will appear and the strongest one this time is called Isolation. Take them out as you did with the previous sets.

Once the demons are taken out, speak to Compassion next to the body. From the body, follow the blood trail forward and to the left. When it stops, jump over the edge onto the wooden platform to your right and onto the ladder.

At the top of the ladder, go to the right and you will find a scroll on the edge of a crate. Read this to find out that the victim was an artist.

That’s it: you’ve now solved all three murders and brought peace to Compassion!
