Pride Of Jenni will have a new jockey for Saturday’s Group 1 Champions’ Mile.
Star jockey Ben Melham has been booked to ride Pride Of Jenni in the race, replacing regular jockey Declan Bates.
Racing.com has confirmed Melham’s booking with the Group 1-winning jockey.
Bates has ridden Pride Of Jenni in her past 12 starts and is the regular rider for her owner Tony Ottobre.
The Irish jockey will ride at the Flemington’s Champions’ Stakes meeting.
Pride Of Jenni was last seen finishing unplaced in this year’s Cox Plate. Trainer Ciaron Maher had originally said Pride Of Jenni would head to the paddock after that run, but Ottobre confirmed to Racing.com late last month that Champions Day remained an option for her.
