This means console and mobile players will get access to the 1.6 patch’s new animal-focused farm, the three-day Spring Festival, two other mini-festivals, and a whole host of smaller fixes. But everyone, on all platforms, will get something when Eric “ConcernedApe” Barone launches the 1.6.9 update that has a slew of quality of life updates, balance changes and bug fixes. One of the most exciting new updates for everyone is the ‘Lost Items Shop’, which will appear in Stardew Valley‘s secret forest area; Stardew Valley has several items that can only be obtained once, so if you accidentally give away or sell any of those items, you’re more likely to be out of luck. The Secret Shop appears at night after losing an item and allows a player to buy back what he or she has lost, such as the Stardew Hero Trophy, Emily’s Magic Boots, Soda Machine, Bear Statue, Junimo Plus or Standing Geode. (If you’re playing multiplayer and someone loses an item, anyone can buy one back, according to the patch notes.)
Another useful quality of life change is that objects dropped into water float for a moment, so you actually have a chance to save it, instead of immediately falling to the bottom, forever out of reach.
