Police are warning as ticket scams are increasing in Scotland

She initially asked if she could buy just two tickets, but the seller ignored her and immediately gave the payment details.

Susan asked the woman to send her a request for the money so she could trace her somehow, but the seller came back with very detailed payment instructions and told her how to refer to the money.

“I think it would have been really stupid for me to continue at that point, there were so many warning signs,” Susan said.

When she told her son about it, he said, “Mom, it was clearly a scam.”

“I would have taken a much more thoughtful approach to spending that amount if we hadn’t all gotten caught up in the hype and desperation to get the tickets,” Susan said.

Ultimately, Susan and Saul got tickets through an authorized ticketing site, although she admits she had to pay “too much.”

“The concert was great though,” she said.
