A Randolph man who was a gang member was sentenced to prison Thursday for breaking into the home of a rival drug dealer with other gang members and stealing $2,000 in cash and a safe, federal prosecutors said.

Brendon Amado, 27, was sentenced to 70 months — or 5.8 years — in prison with three years of supervised release, Acting U.S. Attorney Joshua S. Levy said in a statement.

In February, Amado pleaded guilty to conspiracy to disrupt commerce by threats or violence, Levy’s office said.
