The sheer number of MagSafe accessories available is one of the main reasons why you should own one of the best iPhone 16 Pro cases right now. I’ve personally used a number of MagSafe-compatible charging stands, cases, and wallets over the years, and I really miss this feature every time I switch to an Android phone. So when the creator of Moft cases sent me their “creator’s kit” to test, it started an internal discussion about whether I need a ready-made solution or whether I choose phone accessories according to my needs.

We promise you’ll turn your iPhone 16 or iPhone 16 Pro into an all-singing, all-dancing productivity machine with a variety of included MagSafe accessories. The set costs $149 on Amazon and includes a case, lanyard, wallet, tripod and notebook.

With the exception of the lanyard, I use all of these items individually during my normal work day. I never leave my phone naked, I keep my office card in a small wallet, I have a MagSafe tripod (also made by Moft) in my bag, and (because I’m old) I usually have a notebook and pen on hand.

The question is, would I trade all of these individual accessories to play Moft all the way? If I want to save money, the answer is quite simple. Apple’s own silicone/clear cases will cost $49, the company’s FineWoven wallet costs $59, and since Apple doesn’t offer a stand, just purchasing the Mofta case will cost another $39. That’s $147 before I spend $12 on a pack of three Field Notes – which gives me $159 without the lanyard in sight.

Even though I will save money with this bundle, I’m still not sure if I would purchase the Maker’s Bundle. Here’s why: the whole is not greater than the sum of its parts. While you can use one Moft accessory on top of another, it’s not an elegant solution and means there’s a tower on the back of the phone. So you’re left to decide between placing your notebook, wallet or tripod on the back of the device.

And while I’m usually a big fan of modularity in phones (anyone remember Moto Mods?), in this case the only real winners from the set for me are the case itself and the snap-fastened wallet. I don’t need a leash; the notebook is too small to use effectively; and the tripod is only useful in photography, which I don’t do very often.

That being said, there’s something incredibly satisfying about having an entire MagSafe set of the same brand and color scheme. In this case it is a type of porcelain, off-white, which I really like. For those who want uniformity in everyday wear, the Creator Kit perfectly meets this.

I started by mentioning the price, which may be alarming to some. However, Moft is known for having fun on Black Friday and in some cases can offer up to $60 off on some of their products. These discounts are not typically limited to the United States. So while it’s not certain whether the Creator Kit will receive a discount, it’s a possibility, which would make it a much more enticing prospect for iPhone users.
