800-pound cow rescued from mud in Colorado

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Colo. (KKTV) – The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office was able to take part in a unique rescue operation on Tuesday.

An 800-pound Angus cow got stuck knee-deep in mud in Jefferson County. The sheriff’s office said many other cows stood and watched the situation unfold from a distance.

The sheriff’s office said the Coal Creek Fire Department helped them rescue the cow from the mud. During an hour-long rescue mission, the crew pulled her out of the truck with the help of two girls.

According to the sheriff’s office, other cows stood nearby and watched them throughout the operation.

They said the cow stayed behind and rested for some time before leaving.
