Delta Police have a message for Ladner residents: lock your vehicles.
On Wednesday morning, DPD posted a message on its Facebook page following a spike in thefts from cars in Ladner during the Remembrance Day long weekend.
According to police, most of these incidents involved unlocked doors, while in other cases windows were smashed to gain access to valuables left in plain sight.
Prevent potential thefts by following these safety tips:
- Lock the doors of your vehicle every time you leave
- Remove all valuables, including wallets, handbags and backpacks
- Make sure you don’t leave tools, electronics, and bags visible in the closet
- Where possible, park in well-lit areas.
