SWEETWATER, Tenn. (WVLT) – Sweetwater police said several people were arrested Saturday after a search warrant was executed at a home on Monroe Street.

SPD said the home was a “known hub for illegal drug activity, including overdoses, assaults and narcotics sales,” in addition to where stolen property was found.

After an extensive search warrant investigation, SPD said the following eight people were arrested at the scene on various drug-related charges:

  • Jeremy Copenhaver
  • Jonathan Moore
  • Loretta See
  • Jason McIntosh
  • Sarah Lynn
  • David Neloms
  • Rebecca Burrell
  • Sarah Sawyer

Officials also said arrest warrants had been issued for a ninth person.

“It is an important priority for us to prevent our community members from experiencing the negative effects that come from substance use and to provide our public with peace of mind,” said Chief Byrum.

SPD took the opportunity to tell residents not to hesitate to call authorities if they see anything suspicious or are concerned about criminal activity.
