A video has surfaced showing one of Senator Sen.’s teenage daughters. Ted Cruz (R-TX) wasn’t too happy when her father said that’s what he wanted Donald Trump to return to the White House.
Cruz celebrated his reelection victory over Rep. Colin Allred (D-TX) Tuesday night in Texas, where Democrats hoped to cause an upset and flip the seat. Instead, it was one of several losses in the Senate for Democrats, who relinquished control of the upper chamber.
An excerpt from Cruz’s victory speech circulated online on Thursday. As he spoke, the presidential election had not yet been called, and the senator said he wanted to see Trump re-elected.
“And I believe, and I hope and pray that Donald Trump will be reelected as president of the United States,” Cruz said as he was flanked by his wife Heidi and their daughters. One TikTok user happened to catch the look on his face Caroline Cruzwho cringed hard when her father delivered the line.

She turned to her mother and appeared to say to her mother, Heidi, “Don’t clap for that.”
Trump ended, of course win Tuesday’s race against the vice president Kamala Harris.
“I would first like to thank my special wife Heidi, my best friend in the world,” the senator continued. “What a wonderful partner on this magic carpet ride of life. And I want to thank our two beautiful and wonderful girls, Caroline and Catherine. You know, politics sometimes exacts a price on the family. And I want to say that I am so grateful for their love and support.”
Cruz famously rose to prominence during the 2016 Republican primaries, which saw Trump spar with Trump humiliated the senator’s actions and suggested Cruz’s father was involved in the assassination of John F. Kennedy.
