The Dragon Ball universe is no stranger to epic battles, but the latest preview for Dragon Ball Daima seems to be setting the stage for something bigger, bolder, and possibly more chaotic than ever before. In this new chapter, Goku, Kaioshin and Glorio adventure into the mysterious and dangerous Demon Realm in an attempt to put an end to the destruction caused by the new Demon King Gomah. There’s a twist, though: Goku and his companions have been shrunk down to the size of first-graders, making even the simplest of tasks a challenge. Now fans can finally look forward to Vegeta, Piccolo and Bulma coming to join the battle and it looks like things are going to get even more intense than expected.
According to Comicbook, with the latest preview appearing online, it appears that Vegeta is gearing up to take the fight to the Demon Realm much sooner than anyone expected. And if that’s not enough to get fans excited, a Super Saiyan war is about to ignite, a war that promises to be like nothing we’ve ever seen before.
Now THIS
Anyone who has been following Dragon Ball knows that Goku has undergone many transformations, but this is a whole new game. The air of the Demon Realm is thick and heavy, making it much harder for Goku to tap into his usual power. This unique environment has created a new level of challenge for our hero, who is no longer the towering powerhouse we know and love. Instead, he is smaller and more vulnerable, facing enemies he could normally handle with ease.
In the grand scope of the Dragon Ball universe, the Demon Realm was a bit of a side story. Previously ruled by the evil Dabura, who played a crucial role in the Buu Saga, it has always been a place of dark power and a twisted history. After Dabura’s death at the hands of Majin Buu, the throne was claimed by little Gomah, who has a different, perhaps more dangerous vision of the empire. Gomah, along with the Demon Realm’s Kaioshin, Degesu, have spawned a new Namekian who has created his own set of Dragon Balls, further complicating an already dangerous situation, Comicbook reports.
While the Demon Realm wasn’t prominently featured in the original Dragon Ball or Dragon Ball Z, it has made its mark in spin-offs like Super Dragon Ball Heroes. That series saw the Time Patrol battle the Demon Realm and its collection of villains that traversed the multiverse. While Super Dragon Ball Heroes isn’t considered canon, it certainly expanded the mythos of the Demon Realm, and we could see some of those non-canon characters return in Dragon Ball Daima. Fans are in for a wild ride as the Super Saiyan showdown begins.
