Boston woman arrested for shoplifting ,800 at Lululemon

BOSTON – A woman was arrested Saturday evening after allegedly stealing thousands of dollars worth of merchandise from a Lululemon store on Boylston Street.

Boston Police Department officers assigned to District D-4 (South End) responded to a call at 776 Boylston Street on November 2 at approximately 8:18 PM, where they were advised of an ongoing shoplifting incident.

Officers were given a description of the suspect and told she had moved to a nearby Dicks Sporting Goods store.

Once she located the suspect, identified as 37-year-old Kaitlyn Mclean of Ipswich, she dropped the stolen goods when she saw police.

Mclean was handcuffed and officers found 48 items with an estimated value of $4,812.94.

Mclean was charged with theft over $1,200 and is also facing charges related to an active shoplifting warrant.

She is expected to be arraigned in Boston Municipal Court.
