Owensboro man arrested for dealing controlled substances at Rockport gas station

SPENCER CO., Ind. (WFIE) – Indiana State Police officials say a man was arrested Friday at a Rockport gas station on a drug trafficking charge.

Over the past ten months, Indiana State Police and the Spencer County Sheriff’s Office have been conducting a drug investigation involving the Rebels Marathon gas station in Rockport.

During the investigation, a warrant was issued against Siddharth Aniker for trafficking in a Schedule I Controlled Substance, Level 4 Felony.

On Friday, law enforcement officials found evidence of illegal drug activity at the gas station.

During the execution of the search warrant, a large quantity of a controlled substance was located inside and outside the business.

Aniker was taken into custody on his outstanding warrant and transported to the Spencer County Jail.

He is being held without bond.

The investigation is ongoing.
