Sarah Jessica Parker sends a direct message to the thief who broke into her house

From toilet paper in the trees to broken lanterns, Halloween has always been a time when vandals and mischief-makers have free rein. Just ask Sarah Jessica Parker.

The Sex and the city The star’s elaborate Christmas display on the doorstep of her New York home was targeted by thieves this week, leaving the actress with no choice but to send a disapproving message.

In photos taken by the Daily mail On Monday, the sidewalks of Parker’s two connected West Village brownstones were covered in an abundance of magenta and gold-painted pumpkins, but in photos of the same staircase on Halloween night, the glittering gourds were gone. In its place were just a few candles and a single lantern.

Two signs were taped to the front door saying “Shame on the Pumpkin Thieves!!!” What appeared to be a surveillance footage was also taped to one of the doors.

Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time Parker has had to deal with pumpkin theft in her neighborhood.

The 59-year-old posted a video of her empty sidewalk Instagram five years ago after some pumpkins picked in the Berkshires and brought to Manhattan were busted.

“All of our pumpkins were stolen, just like all the other pumpkins in our neighborhood,” she said in the clip.

“It’s officially the Halloween heist of 2019. My husband said, ‘Decency is dead.’ But we will save the intended carving. We will find last minute pumpkins and we hope this case will not remain cold.”
