Snoop Dogg teases by Dr. Dre produced album ‘Missionary’ with new song featuring Jhené Aiko: listen

His latest single, ‘Gorgeous’, is out now, ahead of the album’s release on December 13th

Snoop Dogg shares the first taste of his next studio album, but not without a little help from some friends!

On Friday, November 1, the Doggfather himself released “Gorgeous,” the first track from his upcoming album Missionarywith song by Jhené Aiko and production of Dr. Dre.

The track comes along with an accompanying lyric video, as well as the official track listing for the Dr. Dre produced album – with quite a few familiar faces around Snoop.

Missionary marks Dr.’s first complete work. Dre and Snoop since the rapper’s 1993 debut LP Doggy styleand the duo won’t be alone in the project. Snoop, 53, is joined by Tom Petty, Eminem, 50 CentJelly Roll, KAAN, Method Man, Smitty, LurchCocoa Sarai, Dem Jointz, Stalone, Fat Money, BJ the Chicago Kid, Alus and Aiko on the upcoming project – arriving December 13 via Death Row, Aftermath and Interscope.

While Snoop previously revealed during the Bloomberg Screentime Conference earlier this month he had songs with Sting and Jelly roll on his new project, it has now been revealed that the Sting team-up will be called ‘Another Part of Me’, while the Jelly Roll collaboration will also feature the late Tom Petty and be called ‘Last Dance with Mary Jane’. (Petty and the Heartbreakers had a song called “Mary Jane’s Last Dance.”)

“Like a kid who has a crush on someone as a singer, and you get a chance to meet them and they give you everything you expected, that’s what happens to me all the time,” Snoop said of meeting Sting , 73. “I meet people I’ve always wanted to meet and they’re everything I wanted them to be.”

Other songs on the 15-track album include “Skyscrapers” featuring Method Man and Smitty, “Now or Never” featuring Dre and BJ the Chicago Kid and the now-released Aiko collab “Gorgeous.”

Another big team-up Missionary is song “Gunz N Smoke”, featuring appearances from both Eminem and 50 Cent. The duo, along with Dr. Dre Snoop earlier this year during his Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony.

“Look at us, over thirty years later, and we’re still working in the studio and you still make me do every line a hundred times. Still,” Snoop said of Dre, 59, during the event. ‘And for that I thank you, perfectionist. I thank you for being a perfectionist and always pushing me to be great. You always bring out the best in the Dogg, Dr. Dre, and I really appreciate that.”

“There would be Snoop without Dre. Together we created magic in the studio and our collaborations left a mark on the music world.”
