Nearly 300 properties in a Berkshire village have been without gas for a second day.
Supplies were lost in Winnersh on Tuesday afternoon when Southern Gas Networks (SGN) engineers began visiting homes to switch off gas on the meter.
A Reading Road emergency vehicle with an electric hotplate and cooking facilities has been prepared to serve the elderly, disabled, long-term ill, those with young children or other special needs.
SGN said it was “too early to determine” when supplies would be restored.
