If elected, what are the three specific areas you would like to change, address, improve or further explore, and how specifically would you address that?: Completing implementation of the Fair School Funding Formula: During my second term, I was proud to champion the Fair School Funding Formula, a comprehensive reform of Ohio’s public funding model for K-12 education. The Fair School Funding Formula, passed as part of HB 110 (134th General Assembly, Oelslager), ended more than four decades of unconstitutional school funding formulas. With HB 33 (135th General Assembly, Edwards) funding the third and fourth years of the six-year phase-in, I look forward to completing the phase-in during the 136th General Assembly and fully implementing the formula.

Continue to support career-technical education: By investing in career-technical programs, both at the high school level and in specific programs, we will ensure that students graduate ready to meet the demands of an ever-changing workforce . I am proud to have supported Career Tech programming at the Alliance for Working Together (AWT), Lakeland Community College, and the Auburn Career Center with both operational support and capital improvements. These programs ensure Lake County remains a center of good-paying manufacturing jobs.

Defend Lake Erie and our natural resources: Lake Eire is one of our greatest assets, supporting tens of thousands of jobs and providing recreational opportunities for millions of people in Northeast Ohio and the entire Great Lakes region. As the Ohio House Representative on the Great Lakes Commission, I am proud to champion conservation efforts to improve water quality, reduce coastal erosion and ensure future generations can enjoy the natural beauty of our streams, rivers and lakes .

Whether it’s past performance or future goals, why should voters choose you?: As I seek my final term in the Ohio General Assembly, I am proud of all I have accomplished over the past six years. As a tireless advocate for Lake County, I am proud to have secured funding for dozens of projects throughout Lake County and Northeast Ohio. As a leading voice in Columbus for education reform, I am proud to have finally passed a constitutional funding model for K-12 education. As an advocate for smaller government and reducing government regulation, I am proud to have chaired the Joint Committee on Agency Rule Review for each of my seven terms as a state legislator. In my final term, I will continue to be a voice for the people of Northeast Ohio and an advocate for limited government.
