Supreme Court Lawyers Welfare Trust invites applications for Justice JS Verma Fellowships

SCLWT was established in 2008 with a substantial corpus of a practicing senior Supreme Court advocate with the aim of supporting and promoting professional opportunities and welfare programs for lawyers in the Supreme Court of India.

One of the objectives of the Trust is to encourage and promote deserving young lawyers who wish to practice in the Supreme Court of India.

The Justice JS Verma Fellowships were established for this purpose and have in the past awarded fellowships to deserving young advocates.

Previous chairmen of the Trust include Justice JS Verma and Justice Mukul Mudgal. The current chairman of the Trust is Judge Aftab Alam.

The Trustees are Chander Uday Singh, Mamata Kachwaha, Gopal Sankaranarayanan, Raghenth Basant, Rahul Narayan, Vrinda Bhandari, Pallav Mongia, Adit Subramaniam Pujari, Jaikriti S Jadeja and Nikhil Singhvi.
