Sticky Fingers’ Dylan Frost must fight charges he stole from Sydney Woolworths

A controversial Australian rock star will fight allegations he stole a roast chicken from Woolworths and an iced coffee from Sydney’s CBD, a court has been told.

Sticky Fingers frontman Dylan James Frost, 34, was spared from appearing at Downing Center Local Court on Monday after pleading not guilty to a single charge of shoplifting.

Police allege the rocker stole the $6.50 fried chicken and $2.65 Ice Break double espresso coffee from Woolworths Metro in Haymarket shortly after 1pm on June 27.

Mr Frost’s girlfriend, Elyssa Ford, 23, is said to have stolen a Life Savers raspberry stix from the same Woolworths store at the same time.

The couple both entered not-guilty pleas in August, with Mrs. Ford facing a single charge of shoplifting items under $2,000 and possession of a prohibited drug.

Lawyer Robert Candelori represented Mr Frost and asked that the case be set for a hearing in July 2025, where the rocker will defend the shoplifting charge.

Mr Frost was the lead singer and guitarist of Sydney indie rock band Sticky Fingers, which went on hiatus in 2016 after allegations were made against him.

He was accused of racism, sexism, transphobia and aggressive behavior and responded to his past antics in an interview with Triple J Hack by stating: “Boys will be boys”.

In a statement to Instagram at the time, the band said the comments were “in no way intended to show that we are not truly moving toward positive change.”

Mr Frost will appear in court next month.
