NYPD is seeking the public’s help in locating a man wanted for questioning over alleged robbery of 16-year-old in Staten Island

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. – The NYPD is seeking the public’s help in identifying a person wanted for questioning in connection with the alleged robbery of a 16-year-old boy in West Brighton.

The crime reportedly occurred near 166 Broadway on November 16 around 3:54 p.m. At the time, police said the 16-year-old victim was approached by an unknown person.

That person then “simulated a firearm” and demanded the boy’s necklace, worth about $360, according to the NYPD.

The unknown person then fled on foot eastbound on Wayne Street with the chain, the NYPD said.

There have been no injuries from this case.

The NYPD is looking for a person for questioning in connection with the incident, which they say was caught on camera. Police describe the person as a man who was last seen wearing all black clothing.
