A daring bank robbery leaves the Lucknow branch reeling

A daring heist has rocked the Chinhat branch of the Indian Overseas Bank in Lucknow after the contents of several lockers were discovered missing. The burglary, reported on Sunday, has left the community and bank officials in dismay.

According to bank manager Sandeep Singh, the thieves ingeniously entered the bank by making a hole in a shared wall with an adjacent empty plot. Preliminary police investigation points to the involvement of four perpetrators. Despite the presence of security measures, the robbery went uncontrolled due to the lack of alarm and security personnel at the time.

The local police have mobilized six teams to track down the perpetrators, in close cooperation with the bank, which has assured its cooperation in the ongoing investigation. The bank, which has insurance in place for such events, emphasizes the continued safety of its customers and their assets as its top priority.
